Battery Park City
Suburban-like Living in the Heart of New York City
Battery Park City is a neighborhood located in lower Manhattan. Placed right on the water, our community is mainly made of young families. It is a great place to start and grow a family, but is also home to people from many different walks of life.
Battery Park City is full of luxurious apartments that often come accompanied by great water views of the Hudson River. Our neighborhood was also ranked as having the most expensive rent in America between 2017 and 2019.
Many local organizations, including the Battery Park City Authority and Brookfield Place, will often hold events that are great for residents of our area.
Both North and South Battery Park City is filled with excellent and modern public parks, along with several recreational areas. In North Battery Park City, Rockefeller Park and the Battery Park City Ballfields provide great space to residents. In South Battery Park City, there are many general green areas and West Thames Park.
Living in Battery Park City offers easy access to all five of New York City's boroughs. Our neighborhood is also located directly next to the Financial District/World Financial Center and the Brookfield Place/Westfield World Trade Center malls.
Living in Battery Park City means access to the largest school system in America: the New York City Public School System. Our two local middle/intermediate schools, PS/IS 276 and PS/IS 89, along with Stuyvesant High School (Ranked #5 in the Nation), provide great academics to young learners.
